Start Location 🚧

To kick off your journey, head to Kyobashi, specifically right outside the Chiba Dojo. This dojo, marked by the northern banner of the region, is where your quest begins. However, the quest will initially appear grayed out. Fear not! To unlock "The Ousted Swordsman," simply step inside the Chiba Dojo and speak with the master, Shusaku Chiba. As you engage with him, you will have the opportunity to try out the dojo.

You only need to face one enemy in this practice. Whether you choose to spar with an apprentice or challenge anyone present, completing this small task will make the quest available to you.

Defeat the Apprentice ⚔️

Once the quest is unlocked, the next objective is to defeat the apprentice. Open your in-game map to locate the quest marker, which is situated south-southwest of Kyobashi, in the Azabu region, near the Shiba border.

Fast travel to the closest banner in Azabu (southwest in my case) to save time and swiftly approach the marked area. You will find a quaint little settlement housing a lone samurai—the apprentice you’ve been tasked to defeat.

As you approach him, prepare for battle. Engage him in a fight and claim victory to receive the coveted Student's Dagger as a reward. Don’t forget to loot the dagger from the defeated apprentice before you move on!

Report to the Master 🏮

With the Student's Dagger in hand, it's time to return to the master for the culmination of your quest. Fast travel again, this time heading south to Shibuya, where the master resides. Upon arriving, enter the building and confront him.

You'll soon discover that Shusaku Chiba is not as innocent as he seems; he is indeed the killer! Prepare to face him in battle. Although he may be a bit stronger than the apprentice, he’s still classified as a normal enemy, so don’t expect an insurmountable challenge. Defeat him to complete "The Ousted Swordsman."
