Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart - How to Recover the Hurlshot from the Smelting Pit

Are you stuck on the "Recover the Hurlshot from the Smelting Pit" objective in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart? Don't worry, we've got you covered with a detailed guide to help you navigate through this challenging mission.

To start your journey towards finding the Hurlshot, head north and be prepared for some easy fights with the local fauna as you make your way. The path to the Hurlshot will require you to hop on the rail and ride it for a longer while. Remember to jump to adjacent rails or do double jumps to avoid collisions during the ride.

As you progress on the rail, seize the opportunity to pull into the rift that appears in the screenshot above. This detour will lead you to a Gold Bolt that is floating above the rail. Once you've collected the Gold Bolt, return to the main rail and resume your ride, while dodging wagons and obstacles.

At a particular spot along the rail, you'll need to grab onto a hook (press L1) to start running along the wall. Keep moving forward until you reach the location where Pierre's pirate lackeys make their appearance. In battles against pirates with large shields, consider using short-range weapons to hit them when they are vulnerable during melee attacks.

For an easier time dealing with shielded pirates, use your helpers such as Mr. Fungi or the Glove of Doom to eliminate or distract them. Look out for red explosive barrels during battles, as they can be used to your advantage in taking down enemies. Once the battles are over, collect loot from the area before using the crank shown in the screenshot above.

Turning the crank will lower the orb held above it, granting you access to the coveted Hurlshot. With the Hurlshot in your possession, you can now unlock new areas and abilities to aid you in your adventure through Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.
