1. Head to the naval battery.

   Begin your quest by moving toward the naval battery. Here, you will encounter your first battles and learn the lay of the land.

2. Optional: Defeat formidable foes (0/2).

   - Defeat Okubo:

     Following the path, you will reach a large gate with a house. Enter the house to confront Toshimichi Okubo. If you're keen on further encounters, check the map for a hiding chest before proceeding. After exiting the back of the house, you'll navigate onto rooftops, enabling you to locate the first formidable foe.

   - Defeat Hanjiro Nakamura:

     After bypassing canons and traps, Hanjiro Nakamura will appear to confront you. Defeating him will reward you with the Main Gate Key.

3. Head to the fortified building.

   After unlocking the Gate, search for a Veiled Edge Banner for some additional help as you move further into the mission.

4. Defeat Kiyotaka Kuroda:

5. Head to the upper battery.
